… what? another social networking site?

Yep! This one geared toward, well, Rennies. Performers, patrons, playtrons, participants and all those folks who get dressed up in funny clothing to go frolic amongst the trees and burlap…

 Renspace.com is, yes, a social networking site geared toward the Renaissance Faire enthusiast, SCA folks, and the like.  Signing up was easy - easier than MySpace, in fact.

New registrants get their own subdomain (mine is http://theadequate.renspace.com), a blog, links list, and the ability to befriend other members.  The site is easy to navigate and, well, free!

It looks like there’s a good spread of members from all over the US (I spotted some familiar faces from the West Coast in amongst those from the Central and Eastern US) and it wasn’t too hard to write up a blog post. I’ll admit that I embedded a widget in there to point to, well, *this* blog as I’m on a “one blog at a time” program right now.

Is it worth it? Good question - I think it’s worth checking out!
