America’s Got Adequacy - The Running Start
I now know that I’ll be auditioning for AGT at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center some time on the 25th or 26th of April (Times TBD). My friend Steve Taylor’s got some inside information for me, based on a colleague’s experiences:
- No, you won’t be auditioning for Piers, Mrs. Osborne and the Hoff straight off. Expect 3 or 4 levels of auditioning with production assistants, interns etc.
- The official web site says “you may have up to 90 seconds to audition”. Woah. 90 seconds is really short when you’re a magician
- They’re looking for the really good, the really bad and the really unusual. I’m pretty sure I fit into one of those categories
- Your posted time may have no relation to your actual audition time. Pack a lunch. Bring a book.
